Rethymnon is almost in the middle of the island and about an hour drive away from Heraklion, and Chania the two major cities of Crete where the two international airports are. The port of Rethymnon is also connected with ferry-boat lines to Piraeus and various Aegean islands. Aristea hotel is within easy reach of all the interesting places of the island and proves to be an ideal base for holidaymakers that wish to discover the beauties all around Crete. Rethymnon has an old town with amazing Venetian and Turkish architecture and a magnificent sandy beach of more 10 km long. One can walk from Aristea Hotel along the beach road all the way to the old town with the Venetian palaces, the Turkish minarets and mosques, the scenic old harbour and the famous castle "Fortezza". But if you want to get to know the real Cretan spirit, then go to the inland, admire the mountains, the gorges and caves, the Mediterranean forests and vineyards, the tiny villages where time seems to have stood still, and the amazing beaches of the south coast.

The hotel was fully remodelled in 2009 integrating within its premises two new buildings that doubled its capacity and common areas. In total, Aristea Hotel has 23 spacious studios for double or triple occupancy and 34 separate-bedroom apartments designed to comfortably accommodate up to 4 persons. All rooms have large private balconies, WC and bath or shower.
